I bought some bibs in XXL at a lbs, but there 2x jersey... HAHAHAH yea right. By going by those I would need a 6x to zip up. I normally where a 3xl tshirt. Where should I look for some decent jerseys that are plain jane?

www.aerotechdesigns.com

You're welcome. www.love2pedal.com has some as well, but I have no experience with them. So far, from aerotech designs, I've gotten a pair of cycling tights (5XL), a long sleeved jersey (4XLT) and just ordered a pair of bibs (4XLT because I've lost some weight since buying the tights) from them. Everything fits the size it says it fits... The jerseys fit like cycling jerseys, which is to say they're not baggy, but they fit in the size they say they are for. High quality stuff too. Over the next month or so I'll be ordering a pair of Triathlon shorts, a couple of short sleeved jerseys and a sleeveless jersey, plus probably another pair of bibs, then a pair of bib tights, fleece overpants and a jacket later in the fall for fall/winter/early spring riding. Seriously good gear!

Love2pedal is a fantastic place and they support this forum. They also have the cheapest bibs around. I have bought two jerseys and two sets of bibs from them quality stuff at great prices and shipping is fast.

Good to know. I tend to stick with what I know, but I might just order a jersey or two from them. Wish they still had the Grateful Dead jerseys in 5X or even 4X... Should have ordered one when I had the chance.

Its hard to beat their 2 pair for $56. I like the plain jerseys I bought from them too.

By the way thanks for the aero tech link they have some sweeet stuff to look at.

Indeed, but... don't just order the size you wear in a shirt or jeans from the store. Measure to make sure.

Hard to go by... my belly is bigger than my chest and I'm not as tall as the sizing charts suggestions. Wish I could try something on locally. I just know the 2x was very laughable.

Love2Pedal jersey, size 4x. Rider has a 46/48 waist and 54/56 inch chest.

I've been paying close attention to this thread, thinking I'm going to need a nice new cycling jersey for my TdC ride, and for the relay tri that's coming up later this summer, when I realized that many years ago, in the age of Lemond and Hinault, I bought a La Vie Claire jersey that was a little too small for me, so I put it away and never wore it. I've gotta dig that thing out and try it on now that I'm a good 30 pounds lighter than I was at the time. It might look a little old-school, but then so do I...

The Love2Pedal stuff gets a lot of good reviews, and I'm tempted to try them because of it.

I've found one style of bibs at a LBS that fit me well, and don't chafe on long rides. I have one pair, and need to buy another. And while L2P's prices are easily half as much, I'll probably spend the extra and buy locally - not because I'm a "support your local LBS" freak or "buy local and save the world" nutjob - but because I like to try on clothes before I buy them.

That was a borrowed LHT. Here's me on my own. Again a 4x jersey, this one from Nashbar.

And now.... a 250 pound rider, size 54 chest, 44 waist, in a Twin Six jersey. I'm 6 feet one inch in my cycling socks, and have a long torso, so the Twin Six jerseys tend to ride up.

Club cut jersey, made by either Voler or Sugoi, I'm too lazy to check the tag. Size 2xl, but since it's club cut it's looser than a "race cut" jersey.

Sorry for the slight threadjack but I was looking at both Aerotech and love2pedal and their Bib Shorts sizes are quite different, it seems love2pedal goes up to XXXXL but that only covers up to a 44" waist while Aerotech XXXL would be for 46-48 which is what I need since I wear a 44-46" waist in jeans depending on make.

Are those sizes correct? And since I am a 46" waist my only option is Aerotech Bibs?

Also as far as a jersey, I wear a XXLT or XXX again depending on store, so to be safe I should grab a XXXXXL jersey correct? I have one suit jacket and it is a 54 if that helps at all. Or could I get away with a XXXXL from love2pedal? I just don't want it riding up in the back.

Any help is appreciated.

Or am I just plain crazy and should stick to shorts for now until I get more into riding LOL!

Regarding the bib sizes at aerotech, their sizing is spot on, so if you need a 46 waist, get their 3xl. By the way, make sure you measure as has been stated above, as most jeans are "glamour sized", so your 46 waist in the jeans is probably closer to a 48. I would get a tall jersey to prevent riding up. They work for me.

It seems like love2pedal has a pretty lenient return policy, but I don't remember exactly. Do remember liking their falconi deluxe bibs.

Thanks bassjones, I am a 46 jeans, dress slacks...I will measure before I order to be safe.

And Tall seems to do it with all shirts so I will grab a T here as well.

Our waist sizes are pretty close and I wear the 3xl from Love2pedal. I could probably get away with a 2xl on a good day. The 4xl bibs were enormous. Far too big.

Love2pedal has a great return policy. It's no questions asked, and they have prompt shipping and great customer service.

That sounds great, looks like I will give them a try and as you have said on their site the return policy is hard to beat, their measurements threw me off so I was hesitant. Right now I wear a pair of Under Armour "spandex" in XXL under a pair of shorts while riding. So I will go with the XXXL and see where I stand, seems like the worst case would be returning for a pair of 4X.
