Looking for a different kind of saddle bag
On todays Salute to Freedom Century ride I passed a rider that had a different kind of a bike bag. I am estimating that the 2 bags were 4x5x1.5 inches each and draped over the top tube right behind the stem. Great for holding a camera, cell phone, and extra snacks and more.
Has anyone ever seen this bike storage bag or have any idea where one can be purchased. I have a Bento bag (to small) that I us and I don't like to use a seat bag. As I rode by I asked him where he got it and he said he bought it off of E-bay. I would not even know where on E-bay to start looking for such a bag.
Any help will be appreciated.

I use the Jandd stem bag and it is quite roomy, but the bikehard aerostash xl is the biggest stem bag I have seen..

I like the jandd because it has a vinyl top that keep sweat and rain out of the main compartment..

Note that on a bicycle, a "saddle" bag would be one of the little ones that hangs off the seat, not to be confused with saddle bags on a horse.

By his description, it sounds like he saw a stem bag, which actually fits on the top tube, just behind the stem..

Here's a nifty alternative that I've been thinking of trying out:
It's called a Frame Bag. There's all sorts. I wanted to try out a Revelate design but they don't make custom bags anymore, they seem to be making bags for Pugsleys and Mukluks entirely now.
An example of a Jandd bag in use:
The only thing I would worry about is the bag interfering with access to the downtube water bottle cage. Otherwise it seems like an excellent way to add some easily-accessible storage space to your bike.
