Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Arundel dual owners

Hello,

In the endless search for a saddle bag that will not touch my legs, I came across the Arundel dual. For those of you with this bag, is it a big bag, does it touch your legs? Can any one of you take a picture of the bag and seat? What items do you carry in the bag?

https://www.competitivecyclist.com/pr...6670.42.1.html

Thanks for the feedback

It's an awesome bag. Just buy it, you'll like it. It won't come close to your legs as long as you don't overfill it. I only carry one tube. I suppose you could fit two if you really tried.

Thank you both, it says it holds two tubes but I was skeptical.

A Lezyne Micro Caddy might work as well.

How big of a bag do you want/need?

This is what I use:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/SCICON-VORTE...item564b08313d

I have only one bag, that I can easily move from one bike to the other using the attachment clamp below:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/SCICON-ROLLE...item33795df22a

Since I started using the SciCon bag system I never had an issue with damaged bib shorts.

Check it out!

This, I got one two weeks ago. Now have about 120 miles without a tool pack in my jersey pocket. It's liberating after spending the last 2-3 years with my middle jersey pocket weighed down.

Freaking amazing little bag. Tucks up real small and snug against bottom of saddle, no wagging about.

I tried it, I think it was the small size, and the bag rubbed on my leg. I am looking for a more narrow bag.

I use an Arundel Dual, and I can carry: 2 tubes, 2 levers, 1 multitool, and I can squeeze in a small patch kit if I feel the need as well. You have to roll teh tubes up very tightly, but it's doable.

And it's the best bag I've used, I love it.

I have one tube, one small multitool, tire levers, and a few patches in the Arundel Dual. It is about the same width as the saddle rails -- it may be wider if you stuff more stuff in it. So if your legs rub the saddle rails, it is possible they will rub the bag too. But you might not know for sure until you try it.

My friend has one and he carries a tube, a co2 cartridge and chuck, and tire levers. I just ordered one and will see how much I can stuff into it.

Just got one of these bags for a minimalist kit to swap out with another bag (Topeak) that is more fully stocked. To my surprise, I fit the following in it:
2 tubes in a ziploc with a bit of talc dumped in, 2 tire levers, a 6-pc multi-tool, 2 16gm CO2 canisters, PDW Shiny Object inflator, and 2 surgical gloves.

I replaced a Lezyne Micro Caddy with a Dual. I like the Dual because it fits up snugger against the rails. It's a great saddle bag.

Oh, yeah. I have two tubes, a tire lever, a CO2 cannister and chuck, and a tiny patch kit. Everything I need.
