I keep seeing a sign that says "get a divorse for only $399 dollars.... no spouse signature needed"

then we could ride a lot together!

If you can be happy in a long term committed relationship, then do it. Marriage only has a benefit if one isn't working and it is time to file the taxes
That's what I hollered at myself when my first wife and I watched the video of our wedding less than a month after the ceremony. I did it in jest (well, sort of LOL).

So would "sorry honey, I didn't realize you weren't looking where you were going"...

Might have ended it in a different way though.

Just sitting here waiting for the OPs wife to get online and see this... Waiting for the crap to hit the fan...

Sometimes (most with a wife) its just better to take the blame, move on and go with it.

I can not type what I'd say if LOML did something like that. But then LOML also gladly makes my lunch almost daily. Drama queen she is not.

Not all, just 95% of them.

Do you guys think when you say "I do" everything changes?

Cause you know.....that would require some mental preparation.
Did you know that scientists discovered that a specific food causes women to lose interest in sex and have more violent mood swings? That specific food is Wedding Cake.

But Green427, maybe she's jokingly blaming you....you know?
This whole thread is supposed to be funny. She is actually a good sport about it, but it is still my fault.

Thankfully she does not go online much. Besides, I ask the same question to other people in her presence.

I would take her down the same trail again. If she can't get between the 4' trees, well maybe get her some new glasses!

Just say your sorry and watch her crash again. I've only been married 2 years and I know the trap in this argument. My wife is just as hard headed as I am, I let her come ask for help now.

The sign doesn't tell you that "only $399 dollars" isn't how much the divorce costs; it's how much you'll have left.

So she's not the only one who won't let it go.

Honestly.... if neither of you can let it slowly recede into dim memory, then your marriage isn't going to stand the test of time. How will you ever have trust in each other to weather serious problems? Without a change of heart, I can't see the relationship surviving a relatively minor problem like a two-month cashflow problem caused by lack of communication and both of you spending the same money from a shared account, much less something truly serious.

I highly recommend marital counseling. There are problems that have nothing to do with trees and bicycles.

I started to tell my wife about this and the moment I mentioned the title she said, "You don't need to tell me anymore. We both know who is to blame."

I think I will use this thread to help teach my 14yr old how sometimes there are unwinnable arguments. He is slowly learning that logic doesn't always work...

Your fault. You led her onto a trail that was above her comfort zone. You would have been better off to slow down to a crawl prior to the pinch point and roll through very slowly, and allow her all the time she needed to get through. From your description, she was last and perhaps felt hurried going through. Your fault all the way, even if her lack of spacial reference contributed. You are supposed to know her and protect her. You failed, and miserably. Then you didn't assume responsibility. Man up.

In a court of law, if you each presented a side, the jury may side with you, but your wife totally sees it the way I wrote it above, I'm sure.

Here is your apology: "I am sorry honey I knew i should have brought a chain saw with me that day" 'But i did have my shoe horn with me.'

You wife should apologize to the tree then you apologize to her !

The park service call today and said "the tree you ran into died."

I sorry honey i really believed you could have handled the path.

Time for both of you to let it go. Minor mishap a year ago, nobody hurt, absolutely nothing to gain by deciding who's right. Let it go.

She may be overweight, but having 12 inches of clearance on either side should have been enough.
Are you nuts? If you think you were in deep s#*^ before, wait until she reads this thread
