Hybrid Recommendation for a barely Clyde?

After hearing all of my talk, my boss is interested in getting a bike. He's like 205. He wants one like my Trek FX 7.2. He asked me if I knew if there are other brands like that one. I told him about the Specialized Sirrus, but that's the only other brand I know since those are the dealers that are close to me.

So, are there other good brands that make a bike like a Trek FX 7.2 that would be worth recommending to him? Something in a similar price range, but maybe a better value?

Giant and Fuji come to mind right off the bat.

My first question would be is there any reason he doesn't want a Trek.

The Fuji Absolute is another very similar bike that I looked at.

I would recommend he test ride several of them to see what he likes.

Jamis Coda, Coda Comp, Kona Dew, Dew Plus , Cannondale Quick 4, Quick 5, Giant Escape. I wouldn't doubt that there are at least a half dozen other models out there that might be comparable.
