hello and another brief intro

even though i did a 'proper' introduction in the introductions forum, and also in the 'calling all athenas' thread, i thought i would say another hello so everyone could see. hahaha

anyway, my name is kris, from the chicago southland, and with some encouraging from my hubby (indianarecrider), i decided to join the forum to see firsthand what all the craziness he is always talking about is all about.

i am a true athena, weighing in at a beefy 262, and only 5'5. hoping to lose weight through cycling to prevent some medical issues from escalating.

looking forward to learning all i can from everyone.

kris

Hi Kris, welcome!

You can do it! Through cycling and dietary improvement, I lost 60 pounds, got off of BP meds and avoided going on cholesterol meds. Stick with it and you will see improvements. It's worth the work. Good luck!

Hi Krissy...welcome and enjoy your rides. It's great to read about the triumphs of others along their journey to better health and fitness. With cycling and Weight Watchers I've lost 70 lbs in the past 3 years.

Welcome! And as Pamestique said, get out and ride! (Of course, I didn't follow my own advice today. I went rollerskating and canoeing instead.)

Welcome and make sure to ask for a new bike every once in a while lol, and we didn't get to hear or see what you're riding

I still say you guys need to give Bickell and Crawford some real thanks. It was nice of Kane and Toews to show up
