If you're going to be stranded...
If your going to be stranded on a bike there could be worse places than within view of a beach sitting/laying a wooden bench under a shade tree. Enjoying the breeze watching all the cyclist and runners go by. Three flats in one day is too much though. LOL

soak in those beach rays as the SAG wagon is in bound. 3 flats would drive me wild in one day.

Walked three miles in the flip flops I keep in my back pack.

Sounds like you let the air out yourself....

If you're going to be stranded, it sounds like you found a good place.
More than one flat on a ride (on the same tire) would lead me to think that something's up. Like a sharp item stuck in the tire that hasn't been removed and is causing repetitive flats. Or incorrect technique in changing out a tube.
Have you been able to determine what the problem is?

I aired up, checked inside of tire. Just bad roads I guess. Both of my riding partners ended up with multiple flats as well. We were riding 101 from Carlsbad to Torrey Pines.

I carry them because I don't like to do a lot of walking in bike shoes, and flip flops don't take a lot of space in the back pack, which is mostly stuffed with work clothes (work shoes live inder the desk)
