I would join PJ but he doesn't like me. Waaaaaahhhhhhh

Did you do the Conejo last year? If you did, you passed by the alpaca ranch.

I would like to organize a TdA (Tour de Alpaca). We can make it as long or as short as we want. Good practice for the Conejo ride!

No, I can't remember why I didn't do Conejo last year - I think it was because I had ankle surgery on May 7. It looks like my calendar is open this year though so that's good!

It looks like I could go riding on Feb 15th too if you want to do that. Let me know.

Señor Bottecchia, glad to hear you're on the mend and back riding!

I would love to do Conejo this year. It's May 10th and it's all good for me.

I signed up last week. One major concern I have is the amount of riders to the first sag stop. Two weeks ago I did a preride on the 57 mile course in 3:45. No wind and at the end of the ride the temp. was in the low 80's. Saturday's forecast: Start time low 40's no wind

It has been pointed out to me on the SoCal board that you need to look at the wind forecast for Desert Hot Springs, not Palm Springs. Obviously it won't matter till a day or two before but expect wind on that first leg.

Did you ride up Onyx yet?

No Blew my knee out in the first of May and missed 5 months of riding. I feel like I'm back to where I was in April of last year. I am really looking forward to Saturday.

If you're starting at 7 like the rest of us lazybones, make sure you track Mr Upgradeitis and I down at the start.

The weather for tomorrow is looking SPECTACULAR! Weather underground has it about 52 at the start and winds < 5 mph.

Yup, we plan to leave here about 430 which puts us in Palm springs shortly after 6. Enough time to get our number and get to the start. See you manana!

That's what @tunavic is for.

Wind advisory until 10 am tomorrow... uh oh. that means 35 mph winds in susceptible places. I wonder if they build windmills in susceptible places.

Hey now! That's not right!!!

Depending on timing, I'd be down for both the TdA and CC. I could use a good ass-whoopin' to keep my humble!

6:52:58 Time 15.17 MPH YES

I was just looking to finish the ride and shooting for 7-8 hours. First Century to ride in. I was pumped when I saw that for the last 22 miles I was at 5:40:00. And from somewhere my 65 year old legs felt like 40 year old legs again. All those miles paid off.

Well done! What time did you start? 7 am?

I don't know about you but I find it therapeutic to ride in big groups like that.

Didn't see you either, thanks to Mr. Early Riser tunavic.
