hey everyone. Starting riding again. new goals
Hello everyone. I have been a member of this forum for a while now but im more of a lurker than an active member but I figured I would kind of take this time to re-introduce myself.
This year i finally took a good look at myself and said enough is enough, im going to do something about how big im getting. So I saved up the money and bought a giant defy composite 2. its actually my size and its much more comfortable than the old 54 I was trying to make fit me.
Ive been working on my diet a little Cut way back on the soda (even tho i only drank diet i keep hearing its just as bad for you) Ive cut way back on the amount and the junk food im eating.
But im looking forward to this year. I already have about 150miles of riding after getting my bike near the end of June. My goal for the end of this year is to try and shed my Clydesdale title and be under 200. currently sitting at 210 right now wich is better than where i was at about 220. but im stuck my body doesent seem to want to come down from 210 so i need to figure out what im doing wrong.
Anyways Thanks everyone
Sean

Hey Sean, Sean here. Congrats on your new found goals. I ditched diet soda about 5 years ago - I don't think it had any effect on my weight but there doesn't appear that there is one single ingredient in diet soda that you need or want in your body. And it's expensive! I drink loads of water now instead and I'm happier for it.
Good luck with your new bike and post a picture for pete's sake (white garage door, drive side out, large chainring, small cog etc etc) or it didn't happen.
Where are you located?

Hey Sean, congrats on setting new goals, getting from 220 to 210, as well as the 150 miles since June! I ditched soda and junk food two years ago and have felt much better since. A tip, drinking lots of water will also curb your appetite which seems to really help with weight loss. Happy riding!.
