Do you (or does anybody) know of a well-organized cheatsheet for how numbers match up with names (counting "105" as a "name") across the years for Shimano product lines? I assume when you say 5800/6800, you mean 105/Ultegra?

That is indeed the question. Also when will Di2 go wireless?

And, more importantly... Should I buy this deal...? Does this deal make it worthwhile to build...? Saw it on slickdeals...

MerlinCycles.com has Shimano 11-Speed Groupset (Black ultegra 6800) on Sale for $554.21. Shipping is free.

That is a great deal and Merlin is a legit retailer. Do you have a frame to stick it on and have you built up a bike before? You do need a few specialized tools, but it's not bad.

That's what I put on my bike build. I ordered from Merlin also (although in my case I paid I think $630 total with pedals). Arrived in about 4 days UPS.

Can't fault it really, except there were a couple of things missing from the box. These were the TL-FD68 tool for installing the front derailleur (got locally for $7) and the metal shim you stick on the frame for the bolt that adjusts the angle of the braze on front derailleur (I didn't need this as the braze-on adapter effectively did this job).

I've seen similar prices on at least one of the UK sites for a while. Might want to hold off until you decide whether you have a bare frame you want to put it on so you don't get locked in to the wrong thing.
