Newbie, possible buying Trek FX7.3
I just pulled my old 04 Trek Alpha out from under a pile to get running. I spent two days building it out again. Rack with collapsible baskets , bar bag, few odds and ends. Well I must have the bug because after two weeks I want to upgrade already . Found a 2009 Trek FX 7.3 with ton of upgrades. The seller wants $573 for the package. I did my homework and the seller has about $1,200 invested. The base cost for bike was $670 new. I will be riding daily and have considerations. Hauling groceries, going back and forth average about 10-20 miles per day. The Trek I am running is OK but thinking this may be the way to go. Please take a look at picture and listed upgrades and give me your thoughts. Owner says he bought the bike , built it out and never really used it. I will also be adding a trailer to haul my 60 pound dog for long weekend runs in the future.
Thanks for any thoughts...
Brad

If you want and can use all that stuff, it looks like a good price. Trek FX7.x bikes are nice. My wife has a FX7.4 and loves it. To me, it seems over accessorized though and you could probably find just the basic bike for less and add only the accessories you need/want. Just my .02.

Yes there is a lot going but I will be using all to the fullest. Went and took the bike for a ride. Runs like a dream. The owner said he only put 100 miles on it and it shows, perfect. Gears all run true and braking is right there. There also was a pile of extras on the ground he is throwing in, new tires..riding cleat sneakers and another saddle. $500 out the door. Very happy...
