1st commute
Hours been cut at my full time job so had to get a part time job. Started working at a winery that is 4 1/2 (one way) miles from home and rode my bike this past friday. As long as it doesnt conflict with the wifes work ill be able to ride thursdays and fridays to work. IT WAS AWSOME!!! woke up in great mood and left the house at 7:20 rode the gravel-level b-and highway to work and back. Not only getting in shape but also saving money!

A lot more people commuting lately. I'm glad to see that. If even just 10% of the populace started riding the bike regularly, even if only for those short 2-3 mile errands, it would reduce traffic by a huge amount.

bonus - being able to portage a bottle or two home with you?? I could think of worse places to work p/t than a winery

Commuting home is my favorite part of the day usually. Nice, cool and relaxing after the heat and stress of the job.
And working with wine you can sip a little heavier and still be fine to ride.

Congrats!
Also:

A standard bottle cage will hold a standard 750ml wine bottle.
