Disc Wheels
So I'm planning to buy a track hed sort of vintage disc for a sort of cheap price. But If I buy it I plan to use it on my fixed gear bike for daily trips to work. Does anyone have any experience with riding a rear disc no breaks? Let me know. Thanks!

I have an 80mm wheel up front, and in any type of wind, you can definitely feel it. Strong crosswinds almost knock me off the bike with just that wheel on it. A full disc? I wouldn't recommend it on a commuter unless there is no wind.

Does the idea of commuting in traffic without brakes bother you? I thing the answer is no. So what exactly are you hoping to being warned off of? Being out of style?

Based on your other posts, I'm just gonna be direct and say: Put the brakes back on your bike and don't buy the wheel.

I highly recommend against riding without brakes on a fixed gear. Have the brake at least on there just in case. You don't have to use it, but at least have it there for emergency stops. I tried that whole no brake thing, and I was pretty dumb for doing it. Bike looks super clean without it, and love the extra space on the bullhorns, but my life is more important than the looks. Put it back on after 2 weeks and am glad that I did.

Used to ride my polo bike to the games with a disc cover on the front wheel. Was not fun in crosswinds. And +1 to putting the brake back on,70% of your stopping power is in the front brake.
