I keep a Ziploc bag with deodorant, and small travel bottles of shampoo and body wash (fill them at home from the larger containers) in my desk drawer. There's a small space between my drawer stack and the desk, in which I slide in my folded towel. I usually only commute twice a week and my towel doesn't really get very smelly or anything, so I take it home every few weeks or so.
So I get to work and wheel my bike in by my desk, get my duffel bag out of my desk overhead bin, get stuff out of panniers and trunk bag to put into duffel bag, add ziploc bag of stuff, and towel, remove shoes/socks, then head to the bathroom/shower.

I have a quart size zipper bag that I keep a travel sized toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, regular deodorant, and if I'm being fancy cologne in. I have a slightly larger than average hand towel that I roll up tightly and put in my messenger bag with the bag. It takes up next to no space and having a towel with you at all times is extremely handy.

Small microfiber towel and some refillable travel bottles for soap/shampoo. Very light and takes up little room. Got the towel from an auto store as they have plenty of microfiber towels in various sizes. Small ones soak up a lot of water and dry very fast.
These are great for shampoo and soap: humangear GoToob Bottle - 3 fl. oz. - Package of 3 - REI.com

I carry a small shaving kit in which I carry a razor, shave gel, deodorant, and shower gel. My office gym supplies towels, but if it did not, I would just bring a small microfiber camp towel as suggested above.

I only use deodorant. I shove my head under some water to make it look like I sweat less than I did, and to make my hair work appropriate, then apply to the underarms the deodorizer, and get down to work. Many have commented how they think it is crazy that I never smell at work, even on the 90+ dgr days.

We have a shower at work but I don't use it because it is in the classified area of the building and it is too much trouble to get in/out. I do have a 20x20 room all to myself for changing and bike storage where I strip, towel off and change. As for the towel, I could leave it there but I always carry it with me. I paid all that money for panniers-might as well use them.
