Rain has returned as the weatherman predicted. Wasn't a bad ride though.
Got to work and realized I'd put my bike lock in another bag that I didn't bring this morning. Oops. Found an alcove at the bottom of a stairway inside the building to stash it. I usually don't like bringing my bike inside uninvited, but seeing as I wanted it to still be there for the ride home I decided to make an exception.
More angry geese on the way to work this morning. Thankfully I didn't get attacked again, but there was a lot of hissing and spitting. I wonder why geese are so uptight? They should hang out more often with the ducks. All the ducks I rode by just looked at me as if to say, "Sup?"

The damned rains came at 5AM and continued through the 8 AM hour. I hate that ****! No biking today.

Decided last night I was biking in this morning. If I had waited to make the decision until this morning I might have rolled over and slept for another hour. Cool 37f start into a steady headwind. Legs weren't feeling it combined with the wind I decided to forget the speed and just focus on enjoying the ride. Made for a pleasant ride in. Winds should make for a nice ride home this afternoon.
Signed on to the strava international bike to work day before checking the forecast. Bad move. Guess I'll get to check out my rain gear and fenders.

Send some of that rain up here! It's been an unusually hot and dry and windy spring and firefighters are being kept busy dealing with grass fires and worse. More seasonal temperatures this morning, but still windy. Rode a geared bike instead of a fixed gear so that I have the option of gearing down in the winds.

Finally a work day without rain in the forecast in NC. We actually had beautiful weather over the weekend, after raining nearly every day for the previous week. We also had a big thunderstorm during the middle of the night but it had quit raining by the time I got up. The streets were still a little wet in spots this morning but nothing my fenders couldn't handle. It's supposed to be dry here again on Tuesday, but it looks like the rainy weather will return on Weds-Friday.

We had about seven days of rain off and on and overcast skies the whole time. Now it is bright and sunny and promises to be this way for another week. I really didn't mind last week's weather until Saturday. Maybe the air pressure dropped, which has a bad effect on mood.
I had a tail wind coming to work today! Woohoo!

A very nice commute in this morning the temp was at 43f degrees. I was able to add a couple of extra miles in and see how the house with the gardens is doing. The phlox is in bloom, and it smells delightful. I thought it should just be a riding day not a work day.
On my way home last night I almost got hit by a bird. I have never had a bird come so close in front of my face. Maybe the gusty winds were blowing him around. Very weird.

It's been nice despite the periodic rains lately. Today's ride was gloriously warm with light breezes. The sun is nearly up for my entire ride in now, so my lights are about to be put away for a few months. Yay.

Fine ride in this morning! Perfect temp and a light wind to stay cool.

Wimped out this morning by going back to sleep since it was raining when I was supposed to wake up. An hour later, it was clear. And now it's actually pretty nice. Not riding was a major mistake!!
Lesson learned.

AM commute was my first solo ride in months, because SO had a flat we didn't notice until we were ready to get out (he's been unemployed so he likes to ride to work with me). Ride was kinda hard as it was very windy, passed a car/truck crash on the last third (SO GLAD I didn't drive today). A ninja cyclist blowed me a kiss (being a girl in a bicycle sucks sometimes). And a bus decided to pass me very closely. Both things that wouldn't have happened if my SO had been riding with me.

When is this cool morning weather ever going to give up? Today, although sunny and beautiful, was 0C/32F and I continue to need to wear my tights. It appears that the rest of the week will be mild enough to ditch them for the morning rides it but the weekend will have subfreezing overnight temps and Monday morning's commute will do as well.
Fort McMurray needs this cool weather, not us, but they also need rain and we don't have any for them.

Very cool pic esmith2039.
It stayed mostly cloudy yesterday and was still quite humid for the ride home. Not too hot though.
Pleasant here this morning. Left a little early and added a couple of miles for 15 total.

Got up early and went for a run. Then I hopped on the bike and rode 8 miles to work.
Then saw the doughnuts in the break room and promptly un-did all the benefit I'd gained earlier.

Rain in the forecast but rode in anyway. 15mph headwinds made it a workout. Rode most of the way in with a guy who lives a couple blocks from me. He's retired and decided to get out and ride early today. Caught him just about a mile into the ride and introduced myself and we chatted as we rode down into town. Nice to just ride and chat, not worry about time or speed. Hoping for a good tailwind on the ride home. Fingers crossed the rain holds off. Brought some untested rain gear with me just in case.

Picked these "water shoes" up on sale last Friday: adidas Climacool Boat Lace Shoes - Black | adidas US
This morning's commute ride was the first on the Renegade with these shows - appropriately in the rain, though too light to really test the water drain holes on the bottoms of the shoes.
I'm quite pleased with them. They feel great for both pedaling and walking and they stick well to the pedals on both bikes. I'm all set now for warm weather riding, with and without rain.

Warm and humid this morning with temps in the mid-60s. Rode to work with no jacket, vest or arm warmers for the first time in a while. The weather for the rest of the work week is looking very iffy, with forecasts calling for periodic showers the next 3 days.

7 straight days of rain on at least one direction of my commute. It would be 8 but I didn't bike on April 29th. My rear derailleur was starting to complain this morning and the forecast calls rain for the rest of the week so I may have to break out the winter bike to give my main a rest. This must be a record and I'm starting to wonder if I should build an ark.

I have been off the bike for two weeks. I've gotten to a dangerous place where I'm not thinking about riding but instead about n+1
