I do not miss the humidity and heat, I am spoiled here in a nice mild climate. Though I tend to sweat far too much.

I am heading to NYC for a visit with family and to have a memorial for my grandmother who passed away on Easter. I am not looking forward to the mid 90s which are predicted for this weekend but I will adapt and cope.

I am just looking forward to see some people,

Little humid, around 70F weather. Other than that.. relaxing ride like almost every commute in the last 3 years.

82F/27C Hot and very humid coming into the office after two weeks vacation. Sweat just poured out when I took off my helmet.

Was an awesome ride on my newly rebuilt Bianchi Iseo...new drive train including chain, sprockets, cranks, pedals. Feels great.

This morning is probably the hottest I've felt all year. I just took it slow enough and made it okay, but I'm ready for some fall temps.

First day back to commuting after 2 weeks off, much of which was spent on a solo ride from northern Michigan back to Indiana. After 7-10 hours a day on the bike the 1 hour ride to work seems oddly easy!

hot and humid.

71F and pretty humid. This week seems to be a hot week...
There has been code orange for ozone for the past week. (whatever that means) and so far this week the same.

Our power went out last night apparently a substation blew up and caught fire nearby... It has been very warm here lately.

Warm & muggy, worse than it was Friday. Arrived to work drenched, as if I rode through rain, except my shoes weren't soaked. Oh well, it's that time of year.

Other than navigating through the thick soup, the ride was perfect. Beats driving.

Forgive me fellow commuters for driving today. The weather is sunny with no threat of rain. I simply didn't want to ride in the extreme heat and humidity. The temperature was 80 F here at 7 am with a dewpoint of 75, and the high is suppoed to reach the upper 90s with heat index in the 105-110 range. I rode almost every day last week in similar conditions but today is supposed to be even hotter and more humid. I've had enough. Can't wait for cooler weather to arrive.

Rode in this morning, could already tell it was going to get hot. Temperature was up to 92 the last time I was outside... not really looking forward to the ride home. Tomorrow is supposed to be even worse.

Dangerous ride on the Greenway today. I had some guy on a road bike try to cut inside me without warning as I slowed in passing a group of pedestrians. Yep, double pass on the inside, and then had the audacity to bark about it. I didn't say anything except to ask if he was all right (I honestly thought someone must have been trying to avoid a crash somehow, to even be there), and then just went on my way. He fell behind out of sight for awhile. And then two miles later he did it AGAIN, as I was going around pedestrians coming to my right turn. I guess proud of catching that single speed with panniers. And again he had something to say. I think out nine years of commutes on the Greenway, I've never had someone pull that before.

It's not like I wasn't paying attention either. This guy was sprinting to try to pass me on the right, while I'm making a right turn!

This morning I hit every red light on my 8 mile commute to work. It made me crazy. Still even with all the stops I still make nice time and always arrive happier. Going home is even better at night since I can get through downtown Portland faster than sitting on the bottleneck of I-5 northbound to the Interstate bridge

Hot and humid. I take it slower on these days. I'm yearning for some cool, fall days or even just a rainy day where the sun doesn't beat us up.

My 11 yr old had a migraine at her summer camp yesterday. So, I biked home fast as I could, grabbed my 15 yr old, drove to the camp, got her into the car to drive home, and had the 15 yr old ride her bike home.

Around 73F and fairly humid today. Felt better than yesterday. Had a slight upper rep infection last Thursday and an still getting rid of it. So it might help explain me feeling a little crappy yesterday. Decided to take an easy week (only park and ride). Works out since there's also the heat wave. You know its hot when you take off your skull cap and can ring out the sweat from it like you were in the rain.

Nice, fast commute this morning. No wind, warm but not uncomfortable. Humid but not like yesterday. High this afternoon should only be 84 or so. That's about perfect. Lat night's commute saw low 90's. That was not so perfect.

cool this morning, we finally got rain last night and the air felt heavy . . . or maybe I did lol. I keep taking 3-4 days off the bike in a row the last couple weeks and I can't believe how sluggish I feel when I get back on - too much rest I think. I spun out 15 miles this morning on the way in with a few sprints, just to shake off the cobwebs. I felt like crap for the first half but once I passed the 10 mile mark my legs started to wake up, and so did I. it's our last group ride of the summer tonight, and it should be a fast one, so I have to make sure I'm feeling punchy!

Cooler but still very humid. Had to go to the dentist before work, I can tell I've been doing this awhile because the folks at the dentist are used to it and don't make any remarks about my being on a bicycle

First commute after a couple weeks' vacation. I managed to get a few longish rides in during my time off, but more importantly, I rode several times with my 7-year-old who really latched onto riding this summer.

Had to readjust to riding fixed after riding only multi-geared bikes for the last few weeks, but it came back to me.
