Thanks Commuters
Thank you to this forum and this sub forum. What a wealth of knowledge.
I recently started commuting when my office location moved. The new building is much more accessible by bike now.
I was able to get a really good head start on a safe and enjoyable bike commute because of all of you.
Commute: 6 miles, flat (North West Ohio), mixed roads but some really safe city streets and a small bike path portion. I ride easy to work and pretty hard after and almost always extend the ride to 10 miles.
I most enjoy the thought of getting exercise out of the way so I can spend time with my family. Once I am home I can give them undivided attention. Secondly I like keeping miles off my car.
My commuter is a 1988 Trek 400. 23c tires and SKS raceblades. For now I use a backpack because I only bring a sack lunch and some extra clothes. Can n00bs post pics?

Welcome! I commuted seriously for 16 years before I found bikeforums and it made a huge difference for me in terms of safety, comfort and convenience. It sounds like you have a nice commute!!
