I have an old bulky pair of Specialized winter gloves that cover most days, even down into the 20's. PI lobsters when it's colder than that.

Anything above 50F, rain or shine, i use cheap dollar gloves or no gloves.

Between 40-50F, i put on whatever thick winter glove i got on sale from amazon/nashbar and spray it with waterproofer.

Below 40F, i use ski gloves with wool liner gloves, or lobster mitts.

I always wear some kind of gloves. In the winter, I wear well-insulated waterproof gloves. Otherwise, I just wear regular fingerless cycling gloves for the purposes of better gripping and fall-protection.
