Possible job change to office setting.

I have applied to a new position in my company that will take me from my very bike commuting friendly warehouse (secure bike storage, lockers and showers) to an office setting, (no secure bike storage, no lockers, no shower). Just looking for advice from those fellow commuters that work in an office. The only thing that hasn't changed is the distance, still going to end up being about 22 miles each way. Thanks in advance.

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

Is the office on the same property as the warehouse? If so, tell you're old friends (or supervisor) that you wish to retain your old "warehouse slave" privileges so you can continue riding to work.

If this works, don't forget to bring a pizza from time to time.

Otherwise, speak to management, explain the situation, and work something out. What that entails, and how much you need can vary form just a place to store a change of clothes, or a place to clean up, shower and change, plus store the bike, edpending on the specific details involved.

I've never known a situation that couldn't be worked out if both parties wanted to. However my perspective is different because I've been the boss most of my life.

Unfortunately the office is a few miles away from my current job.

The not having a place to shower is my biggest concern.

Can you bike-commute to the old place and then walk or take a bus from there to the new one? Do they pay significantly more at the new place? The main problem with an office is that it is more sedentary, and bike commuting becomes all the more important.

If the warehouse isn't too far from the office, you could shower at the warehouse, then take a really slow ride over to the office.

Shower before leaving home. Checking email first thing every morning followed by cat-bath (with diaper wipes) will clean you up before donning office wear.

Summer humidity will still suck.
