Gaadi anyone?
Anyone familiar with Gaadi bicycle (inner) tube? Seems interesting as an easy emergency replacement.

Clever!

Got ‘lucky’ this week: had a flat thanks to Mr. Thorn :-/ (of course, always that rear tyre)
Fortunately – when I pumped some air back into the tyre – the air escaped only very slowly, and so I managed to get home... this time. I learned my lesson. Yep, even a new bike can run flat. So, now I always carry a pair of Gaadi ‘snakes’ with me as an easy emergency replacement. (And next year, I’ll upgrade my tyres.) |
IGH bike with difficult to remove wheel? I think they got your number..
Probably pretty universally sized, smaller wheel, the ends just overlap more.. |
I heard about them in the past - they were called "sausage inner tubes" IIRC - but never used one. I also heard stories about tourers repairing a burst out tube by cutting it and making knots in the ends.

My German-fu is weak. Is that intended only as a temporary emergency tube, or permanent? Does it ride ok at the joint?
|
With my luck I would install one of those and end up with either a gap or overlap at the joint. Also it seems like it would be too easy for the tube to twist during installation in the tire.
|
We stock these for our customers with Dutch bikes with full chain cases that basically make removal of the wheel impossible. Have had nothing but good experiences with them here in the shop.
|
that looks awesome.

Have to check but I believe these tubes are slightly heavier or thicker too. |
Much too cool!
