Fenders for Trek Multitrack 700?
Suggestions appreciated for fenders for my Trek Multitrack 700. I've got a rear rack on it if that makes any difference. I use this bike to support my point-to-point hiking as I feel comfortable locking it up in parks and trusting that it will still be there when I return many hours later to load it into my car.
It has way more sentimental value than monetary value as I inherited it from my father. I think he bought it in 1996 or 1997 when his other bike was stolen when someone broke into his house. He was way more upset that someone stole his bike than his TV/VCR. My dad passed away in 2005.

That's a very standard bike and most brands and styles should fit it.

I've used SKS, I'm sure Planet Bike is fine too. You just need to choose whether you want them quick-release or screwed on, and how long

Look for the Sunlite brand. I got some in 26" for a Trek 950 MTB commuter I set up and they were only $19.99 on eBay.

I like SKS too, and I tend to like plastic fenders as the are quiet and tough.
On a mountain bike I use:
BEAVERTAIL XL SET - SKS-Germany
These are easy to take on/off. I leave the rear on, and use the front when I'm in messy conditions.
on my commuter I have a little more coverage using the trekking models. They have various widths, but the 65 should do fine if you need the length...
VELO 65 MOUNTAIN - SKS-Germany
These have optional stays that can help keep them aligned.

I love my Portland Design Works full metal fenders that are lightweight. Had problems with plastic fenders rubbing and flapping around.
They make a Poncho version for $70 which is cheaper but not sure how good they are.
Also compare with Velo Orange and Handsome Mud Butlers if you are in the market for quality but not high end.

Thanks, all, for the suggestions. I ended up going with a SKS S-Board Front Fender to make it easier to get my bike inside my car. For the rear I got the SKS Longboard 45 Full Coverage. The front fender is on but the rear one isn't since the shipment didn't show up until this weekend. I ordered Silver and they (Amazon third party seller) sent Beige. I complained and they refunded my money and told me to keep them. Well, okay, I'll just go ahead and put that on and see how I like it since it is free!
