Good coffee mug recommendation
 

getting colder these days and my coffee mug does not keep my early morning hot bevarage hot while I am riding to my morning bus station, nothing like a good hot gourmet tea once I settle into my bus seat for a good long bus ride to work and relaxing after a good longish cool morning ride, a good insulated coffee cup with smart design lid and easy to drink off of, what's your favorite make and model of smart coffee cup which would keep your early morning favorite bevarage hot during a bumpy cold morning ride please? Thank You.

Dented after smashing in in the tailgate of my Xterra, but I still have the first 20oz I bought.

I now run a pair of 20's and a pair of 24's to keep me and the GF properly caffeinated.

I think it comes in 16 and 12oz if you want. A couple colors available, but we run all stainless.

I use a Stanley "one hand vacuum" mug. It fits securely in most bicycle bottle cages.

Honestly, not nuts about steel flasks, as they make whatever guess in them taste metallic. Not a problem, per se, but if you're talking about enjoying nice stuff? Well, you know.

daughter got me a Corkcicle Canteen for Christmas last year. it's pretty amazing. fits fine in bottle cages. it's the grey bottle in these pics. I drank from a regular insulated bike bottle & when it was time for a refill I went to the Corkcicle

I have this one. I bought it at Target I think. It works well. keeps things hot even on really cold days. 13F I still had hot coffee. I put it in my pannier.. it hasn't leaked yet!

Best coffee mug I ever used is a zojirushi on the basis of how long the contents stayed hot. This one wins without a doubt. But because of how slender it is meaning it limits bottle holders you can use. Also the lid was awkward to close while riding. The lid comes completely apart for thorough cleaning if that's a concern I've since stopped drinking coffee unless I'm stopped.

Next best thing is a kleen kanteen stainless steel travel mug i picked up at a peets coffee. This is a standard width bottle so no concerns with the bottle holder problem. Keeps liquids very hot for a long time as well. Assume 5 to 6 hours at room temp. And then adjust from there. Also, the lid here comes completely apart for cleaning. This is important to me. I hate the residue that is left over from creamer.

And then if you must drink while riding, I would get one of the offerings from Stanley with the single button push. Those work awesome too. Points off for getting the mechanism clean though.

None of the above bottles have ever leaked either in my panniers, backpack, bottle cage... cleanliness is important to me so the only bottle I knocked was the Stanley but that's just being nitpicky.

I Got one From my Trek Dealer, it fits in a bottle cage, best on the seat tube , because its more upright.

Just FYI, you can completely disassemble the top of the Stanley... Pull the button firmly in the opposite pushing direction, and it comes off, allowing you to clean the pusher/top.

I totally agree, the Stanley one-hand mechanism is easily disassembled for cleaning.
