Missed a day of commuting today
first day in a long time i didnt bike commute. my gf called from work, she goes in to cook at 6:30 am and i am a meals on wheels driver who shows up at 9:30, anyway she called and wanted me to bring in whole milk from a store so i couldnt get there on time unless i drove. well let me tell you i was tired and grumpy from not riding in. i didnt realize how much good the little bit of riding before work does me. to make up for it, we went on a 10 mile jaunt thru town and ran errands after work. the pic is from glen oak park in peoria illinois. we got home after an aldi run and some other stops. made for beautiful night riding in brisk 40 degree weather.

I feel ya. I'm usually okay for a day...maybe two, but by that third day I am edgy and irritable. I love the photo!

I've come to realize what a difference bike commuting makes in my health and happiness, so the realization has enabled me to do it more often. I'm grateful!
