...fart noise....
Had a fairly good early spring. That's it. 3 months of working in Canada doing rotations, where my time home was generally not spent working, or doing anything but stuff that needed to be done around the house...my best friend and reliable riding buddy moved...more time off work burning up some comp time...then 2 major hurricanes that kept me either traveling, working until midnight or later, working from home, brought me to Thanksgiving, and then a general fatigue and laziness got me through half of December before I peaced out for the rest of the year...all of that was not conducive to keeping a consistent riding schedule.

This year I'm doing a before-school math club, so once a week my youngest & I get up early and ride to school together (about 7mi), and afterwards I ride to work (and just ride straight to work other days). It's special daddy time. He's manned up to the 'cold' (40s), but yesterday for the big rain storm we drove.

That's awesome! Lay that strong foundation

He has asked to go riding again but it has been too cold here. I hope it warms up fast and we get out more often this year.
We have gone mountain biking once but 20" wheels can not handle the roots and stuff. It stops him cold. plus he is not 100% on the brakes and I am afraid he will run into trees

That's ok, look for some easier trails, or even MUPs, to go 'mountain' biking on. He'll grow into larger bikes eventually!
