I remember reading about a alderman in the city of Chicago had a squirrel get caught up in the wheel of his bike. It caused him to go down and messed him up bad.

I once ran over a cat that darted right in front of me. I felt the cat go right underneath the front wheel. Doubt he was okay.
Riding on a bike path beside a soccer field I clipped a rogue soccer ball. Went OTB hard. That one hurt.
