Hi everyone, new poster here. I've been looking at the Kona Esatto Fast 2016 at my local bike shop. I plan on mainly using it as a commuter/casual ride as I already have a solid racing bike and mountain bike. My local shop has it marked down from $1799 to $1000 Canadian. This seems like a decent deal, ok components, carbon fork, weight isn't terrible, integrated cabling. Does anyone have experience with this bike and can provide some thoughts or a review? Is this a solid bike for $1000, or could that money go further with a different bike?

So it's an endurance road bike with a flat bar conversion. For a commuter that presents challenges for fenders and luggage... those challenges can be solved, though. The discount price looks pretty good for a name-brand bike-store bike. Does it fit you?
