Humbled...

My BBU is my baby. I wouldn't think of taking it out into the rain,or even locking it somewhere other than my apt. I treat it with kid gloves and it has way fewer miles than any of my other bikes. Last night I saw a BBU locked to a post outside a local cafe. It had lights, fenders,a rear rack, and was dirty ! It even had stickers on the frame!

I was humbled.

to me, bikes are meant to be riden.

when i got my new bike i was afraid to lock it outside of stores and such, but then i realized that I bought this thing so I could use it for commuting, errands and such. Kinda silly that I would ride it home then hop in the car and backtrack to the store just because i didn't want to lock it up.

Bikes: Waterford 1900, Quintana Roo Borrego, Trek 8700zx, Bianchi Pista Concept

I tour on a Waterford, and don't box it for the flights. When it gets dinged/scratched enough, I suppose I might have it repainted.

Bikes: yes, I have one.

I guess you don't like your equipment to have character, eh?

Hello,

I read that you have a BBU. How long have you had it? Do you still like it? Do you ride it hard? curb hopping etc. Have you had any problems with the suspension fork? I am looking at a BBU or Trek 7700 but have hear reports of suspension forks on the BBU. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jingermany
