My first commute, 1984 Miyata Terra Runner

My second bike, its a 1984 Miyata Terra Runner according to https ://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage-bicycles-whats-worth-appraisals/1208029-80-s-miyata-terra-runner.html.
Purchased of Kijiji 100 CAD, everything is stock except for the panier rack and saddle, according to the spec page https ://4.bp.blogspot.com/_whtVpXkKwlQ/R1oSzOqjMgI/AAAAAAAAAJk/Jv4csPahx6U/s1600/img076.jpg.
I already have a Raleigh Twenty but I'm still working on it, so this one should be my daily ride (especially for getting part for the Twenty) since I don't drive.
Will take it to the bike shop for some tune up since it's been sitting in the garage according to seller, it's running smooth now but the paddle is a pain. I prefer to keep it, but selling to fund the Twenty is an option.
I have to experience at all with bikes, so please give me any advice for this type of bike.

Kinda proud with this purchase, watched the price dropped from 190$ to 100$.
I heard the frame is good and also the suntour gear is valuable.
I've heard that the 1.75 Araya rim is also good, also there's a cool cateye bell.
I don't have any info on the brake. And my favorite part is the handle bar.

I want to post some picture, but this is my first post, any alternative?

That is a sweet old bike, enjoy. In pretty nice shape, especially for living in the land of slush

It's also a really big frame. Is the seat post stuck, or is that where you need it?

The seat post is fine, I pulled it up a little bit yesterday for extra comfort

Nice bike! I like how you have plenty of room for fenders. My '92 RockHopper can easily carry me and all my stuff and is a lot of fun to ride. Prepare to enjoy going to work!
