Handlebar mirror for swept bars?

I've been using this Sunlite cruiser mirror for a few years, and while the mirror is great, the attachment sucks out loud; the locknut I use still comes loose with the lightest tap, causing the mirror to flop around like a dying fish. I can't find a bracket to replace that strip of soft steel, and I can't find another mirror I like as much. Everyone and their cousin makes mirrors for flat bars, drop bars, helmets, and glasses, but I guess swept bars are just too confusing. I did try a helmet mirror, but the hole in my field of view made me twitchy and I never could get it adjusted right.

So, anyone know of a good long-reach mirror?

Revolution Cycles in Arcata/Eureka seems to have a very similar, if not the same mirror on their website. I called, and it didn't appear to be in stock, but it could be ordered on the website, or in their store.

Check it out at https://www.revolutionbicycle.com/

Yep, that's the one I have. What it doesn't show is that the clamp is a piece of stamped soft steel that would damage my handlebars without a piece of inner tube underneath. I replaced the lower nut with a locknut, but the mirror stem still comes loose.

Edit: Maybe something like this? Cut off the bar and replace the screw with my mirror stem and screw?

Loctite under the band clamp?

I found an old handlebar-mounted reflector and modified it a bit so the mirror stem fits through the clamp. It feels sturdy, we'll see if it can handle the torque. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow.

I tend to save all those plastic reflector and light mounts and have done things like that myself...most recently for the mirror on the drop-bar conversion I did two years ago. I would have suggested you try doing what you did, but not everyone saves old parts, or relishes bodging things together like I do.

Good luck!

Terrible pics, but you get the idea.

Bikes: A Blue One and 2 Green One's, then there's the Yellow one. And oh, yeah, a Black One. Did I mention the Red One?

Yes, I have the same mirror on one of my cruisers. Excellent quality all the way around except for that clamp.
Looks like a motorcycle style mirror clamp is the ticket.^^^
