Bad hair Days
Ok, I got every conceivable body part well covered for pacific northwest winter commuting. I got the sandals, the goretex socks, the wind/rain pants, the vented rainproof coat, powerstretch gloves, etc, etc.
I look like a bizare fashion statement smoking down the road at 30k with my legs spinning at 100 rpm in a blistering display of dark wet morning stubberness of refusing to buckle under and drive my car.
But.....
I cannot find a way to keep my hair from looking like i slept at the office. Unfortunatly I have very fine soft hair. 10 min of wearing a hat/helemt and i got helmet head for the rest of the day.
I've tried a cotton bandana, it soaks up the sweat, but then stays soaked with sweat and wrapped on my head.
Ive tried a rain cover on my helmet and nothing under, but it still gives me the sweaty bad hair day look. Rain cover also means I cant use the visor on my helmet, so now the rain pours down my face.....
No one in Vancouver sells the headsweats type coolmax bandanas that I can find. And for me to order online and pay exchange and duty, and shipping, etc, it will cost me like 50 bucks for a 2ft x 2ft peice of cloth for my head
Anyone got any favorites for headware? And any way to get a visor back when using a raincover ?
Actually, cheapest way might be for me to get a cheap 10 dollar coolmax shirt at a discount store and turn it into a bandana/skullcap. Anyone got a template/pattern for one of those head do wrap things ?
