Broken windshield 1/Armadillos 0
West Palm Beach has been a tad hectic this past week with all the lights out. I didn't want to wait in line to get gas so I spent the past week living carless. Props to you guys that do that all the time.
Most of the traffic lights were out so it was a little hairy trying to get right of way with a four way stop with four lanes in each direction. Left handers were real fun.
I came across the remnants off what appeared to have been an absolutely spectacular wreck. I had no option but to roll right over a huge area of glass. I had complete confidence until I heard Sssssssssssssss.
So I guess even armadillos aren't invincible.

Might've been the beer bottles in the car. Automobile glass is designed to fragment into tough pebbles rather than sharp shards.

My kevlar-free front tire has just a Tuffy liner and hasn't flatted since I got the liner, (about 14 months ago) so I'm leaving it as-is for now.

That is a bit strange. I once rode over about 2/10th of a mile of shattered and crunched plate glass with Armadillos and they were not the least bit affected. I have also rode over auto glass after an accident plenty of times and never had issues then either. I think you had dumb luck. How worn were your tires?
