mr11 bulbs

I am looking for a high quality 12v mr11/c bulb for my Vistalites. I upgraded the battery and need to upgrade the bulbs. I am having trouble finding high quality replacements. The vistalites take the 1 3/8 x 1 3/8 bulbs mr 11, I keep finding the 1 3/8 x 1 5/8 style (like batteryspace.com). Does anyone know what size the jet or niterider bulbs are? The el cheapo ones really arent giving off the light they should.

Joe

Happy holidays.

I feel that bulbs.com is usually a good source.

This is also an excellent source, if you can use a 35w lamp. For most systems that is too high a wattage and will run down your batteries too fast.

Local big box hardware/home bulding/garden stores usually have MR11/MR16 bulbs. I found a local lamp and lighting store where the tech in back had the parts I needed to re-build my old NightSun MR16 system. 100 watts coming soon.

I think that I need the same type of bulbs that you do for my Specialized Fireballs. I have been having trouble finding 1 3/8 x 1 3/8 too. I hope someone posts a good source for them.

Or maybe I need 1 3/8 x 1 1/4, not sure.

Here's a site listing MR11 bulbs for specific bike light models:

https://www.reflectalite.com/lightmodel.html

Never tried them--expensive, located across the pond--but they do have the MR11-"C" bulbs.

If found out that if you remove the niterider heat shield off the back of the bulb it will fit the vistalites just fine. Does anyone know what the beam patterns are for the niterider classic bulbs (ie 12v 20 at 17 degrees?)
