Last commute for a while

Last commute for a while
Last night I got home from what was probably my last real commute in a while. I might have one more ride next week, but I rather doubt it.
No, I didn't laid off or anything. I'm a student at a large state university, and I was only working one day a week at this job (my second job) anyway. With this semester drawing to an end, I'll be leaving fairly soon to go "home" for a month or so. But I won't be back to this job. It was about a 45-50 minute ride to work for two hours, then another 45-60 minutes combining riding and a bus to get home. I can't spare the time anymore. It's all right, though, since I'm getting pretty sick of the job.
Anyway, I won't be likely to have another commute until at least this summer, when I hope to move my permanent residence into Amherst, Massachusetts and live here (mostly) year-round. Until I get a job for the summer, and start commuting to school in the fall (I currently live on campus), I won't have a real commute during any part of the week. I ride my bike every day to get around campus, but it's just not the same. I won't miss the job, but I certainly will miss the ride.
I wish I could say that it was a good ride, but the ride in was one of the worst in a long time. There was a freezing head wind the entire way, and I felt like I was gasping my last most of the way. That may be because I took the bus most of the way and only had about three miles to ride - not enough time to really warm up. The return ride was nice and fast, but still, not the best final run it could possibly have been. I suppose that there's no sense in hoping for too much though.
So what do I do for the next six months!? That's my question now. Without an obligatory 6-14 mile ride every week, how will I keep sane? Should I perhaps start training for some winter centuries to keep myself busy? I've got to come up with something. I just hope that I can hold myself over until June.

Oh, I'm riding every day. But will I motivate my butt to get out in the cold and really ride? That is the question!
Plus, I have the schedule from H-E-Double Hockeysticks next spring, so there's that, too.
