*sigh* where were you before I got wrapped up in all this commuting, mommuting business? Too late now, I'm already a member... ... I think.

mechBgon 12-09-05 12:04 AM

Oooo, I humbly request a junior membership :)

Dwayne 12-09-05 02:21 PM

Yup. When I commute around this time, I bust out the HID light and do some serious damage. :)

tibikefor2 12-09-05 02:25 PM

If I have a Light and Motion ARC HID, does that qualify me for the club? :D

I guess I am a member of the
  1. Extremely Bright Commuting Club
  2. Extreme Commuting Club
  3. Very Long Commute Club

Yipeeee!!!!!!

Hugh 12-09-05 03:19 PM

I'm pretty sure my li'l 10w doesn't qualify for membership. Looks like it's still the Extremely Dim Commuting Club for me. :o

Cheers.

pinkrobe 12-09-05 03:25 PM

I don't float in fresh water. I think that qualifies me for the Extremely Dense Commuter Club.

TheDL 12-09-05 03:46 PM

Rockin' 37.5watts of halogen power!

Booyah!

I can see we're going to have an acronym problem here.

doglhunt 12-09-05 05:17 PM

I'm not very bright, one way or the other.

I nominate slvoid for president of the EBCC. of BF

slvoid do you accept?

Any seconds to the motion?

Is there going to be an OPC type logo?

Rural Roadie 12-09-05 08:54 PM

Damn! i'm only rockin' 18watts and I thought that was pretty good. Can anyone do better than 37.5?

Patriot 12-09-05 09:25 PM

How about a mini-magnesium spotlight. As you ride at night, it unreels and gets lighter. You need to light it with a flare though. :D

not looking to be a member of any club, but I just finished modding my bmx lid with 'heads-up' LED's...very bright, figured these would be more attention fetching than just my single bar mounted bike planet blinky (too many close calls going home from work after dark)

Savas 12-10-05 06:14 AM

I can never be a member of a club that would have me as a member.

slvoid 12-10-05 09:27 AM

Then you're out! GET OUT!!

They say lack of sunlight can cause depression. Should we start riding in the sunlight?

So.....

No club officers.
Anyone can be kicked out for any reason.
Now that Savas has been refused membership, he is free to join.

Whats the next club rule?

Minimum lighting power for membership? Including tailights?
No run time limitations?
What about Hazing ? One must ride the "gauntlet" in the dark!

EBCC ~ Get bright or die trying

You can be in charge of the entertainment at the first annual club picnic, which of course will be in the dark ?

Swiss Hoser 12-10-05 10:22 AM

Extremely Bright Commuting Club.

Jet Lites StarFire Dual Beam. I'm on my 3rd winter commuting with them, and I feel they're getting dimmer the more I use them. Could be my eyes, though.

Anybody else got 'em? What's your opinion?

slvoid 12-10-05 11:42 AM

The bulb's probably about to go if it keeps getting dimmer. Or if you mean getting dimmer sooner, in which case the battery's about to go.
