I just discovered the March Challenge. Since today is almost the last day of the month (I have been riding consistenly.) I would like to be one of the first for the April Challenge. My goal is to do a minimal of 640 miles for the month of April. My commute to work is 32 miles round trip. Hopefully winter is over but you can never tell in Michigan.

The only days I did not commute were on Tuesdays when I have to go right from teaching to a grad course. I also have come to enjoy the fact that I can say on my lunch Im going to grab a bagel and catch a 30 minute ride.

Bummer, I had a perfect year going into the month. I had training for a week and the timing didn't allow riding, then being off the bike for that week weakened me and allowed me to catch a cold; there were two days where I felt good enough to work and not be contagious but too much lung trouble to ride.
I can hope for more perfect months coming up though. If I can ride through Jan and Feb without a car, how hard can April through October be? Heck, I even took my studded tires off!
