A fantastic horn for commuting

This is IT, friends. Look what I picked up recently on one of my travels modestly understated with the simple name "Electric Horn".

It has 8 different sounds which you can select from a dial under the horn. It has seven 'FLARING' flashing light patterns.

My son has been fascinated with his. I am wondering which bike to put mine on. It looks destined for the winter rider "Sonic Surfer" seen in the winter cycling section of BF.C.

Geez, why do Americans have to search the world for this kind of cool stuff? You would think we could get these neat devices right here in the home of the free and the brave. Maybe one day...

Until then, I will bring the world to America through these forums.

Does it vaporize entities with neutoplasmatronic ray? It sure looks like it does!

Mike/MeHT,

Guys, it reminds me of America of the 1960's (I was very little, then...)

I THINK it does vaporize things, so I have been very careful not to aim it at anything YET.

However, one of these days, a redneck in a rusty pick-up truck or a housewife in a white van will attack me on my commute and THEN we will see...

I've thought for years about getting one of those "canned" air horns, the ones people used to bring to football games. I figured it would fit into a water bottle cage.... But yours is way cooler!

Ya, Sally, as AndersK points out, the Air Zound is great. It is similar to the air canister horn that you mentioned, but it recharges with a bicycle air pump. It has a convenient button that mounts on the handlebars and the air canister mounts to a standard water bottle cage.

Also see https://www.nashbar.com/results.cfm

I have one and I love it.

Do a search for Air Zound on the BikeForums.Com. There was a thread with reviews that you might find interesting.

Nashbar probably still has them on sale at $20.00 each. Put it on your Christmas list. I did last year and got one for Christmas

Cyclists must make their presence known. Everything helps.

I scream at people. That seems pretty effective for me.
