Irony II

As a year round commuter I usually only miss 5 or 6 days a year. Well for the second year in a row I will be missing Ride to Work Day here in Seattle. I am not going to be able to get any of the free stuff again

Bikes: Cannondale CAAD9, Ritchey Breakaway Cross, Nashbar X-frame bike, Bike Friday Haul-a-Day, Surly Pugsley.

Since I live way out in the 'burbs, which are built for cars (not people!), the irony is that to get to any of the bike week events in SLC, I have to drive.

Gah. Bad luck, that.

Do you know anybody in the group that's sponsoring it? Maybe they could set aside a goodie bag for you, seeing as how every day is BTWD for you. You certainly deserve it. What is it about the appeal of free treats and logo merch? So delicious and compelling ...

Somehow we managed to end up with a zillion of those stupid water bottles and bandanas. I wish they would hand out tubes or patch kits instead. Oh well. I'll have some extra free food and coffee for ya

I was annoyed last year that they shut down the give-aways early because it was pouring rain. Rain doesn't keep people from biking to work does it?
