Long commutes with an xtracycle
Hello everyone,
I'm thinking about commuting to school (16 miles each way). I have two bikes that could be used for the commute. One is a slower hybrid (2000 Specialized Expedition) with an xtracycle and one is a faster hybrid (2004 Giant Cypress SX). I'll attach pictures later. 32 miles with the Specialized seems too long of a commute...mostly a time factor. I've had thoughts of installing an xtracycle on the Giant, but I'm afraid it would slow it down too much. I'm thinking that a nice set of panniers on the Giant would be the way to go for that kind of commute. Any thoughts?

panniers. You will be surprised how much time you can shave out of a 15 minute commute if you really, but really try.
First commute to work took me 1 hour and 10 minutes. The last one 43 minutes. Still, the car saves me 30 minutes for scratching my baalls. Meh, I'd rather ride my bike.
