Suggestions for handlebar comfort?

Hi there-

I have been taking my Cannondale mountain bike for long street rides and was wondering if anyone could suggest and ways to make the ride even more comfortable?

I have been using bar ends, which seem to help a lot, anyone have any experience with aero bars or other alternative grips, etc?

Thanks

I have a Cannondale F300 bike that I use for my commuter. My problem was a bad back (slipped disk), so I actually got a stem extender. Raised it up a inch or two...made a huge difference in my opinon.
