Light bracket compatible?

I have a plantet bike 1200 light with a "no tools required" adjustable bracket. I have no trouble mounting the bracket on my Specialized Sirrus or Bianchi Bergamo handlebars. They both will accept the bracket. I can't, however, get it to adjust large enough to fit on the Bianchi Giro drop bars. Am I missing something here or is it just incompatible?

I'm not sure, but from the photo, it looks like you have the old bracket, which is rather sturdy but only works on 25-26 mm handlebars. The new bracket is similar to what you see here and has an adjustable tab on the top (i.e. near the lamp) so it works with 25-31,8 mm handlebars. All isn't perfect, however; it is less robust than the previous bracket.

Bike-Nashbar has just what you need! It's a Minoura Swing Grip 2 that mounts to your stem and provides a place for mounting your lights, bells, or any other accessories you want saving space on your handlebar.
