The Effect of Car Culture

Some interesting points in the link above, via the Portland bike community forum.
One motorist notes that he sees bikers 'flaunting' rules of the road constantly (running stopsigns/stoplights, riding erratically in and out of lanes,etc). while a collision with an auto/truck is far worse for a biker, the biker community does need to take responsibility for riding within the rules that are set out for vehicles on roadways.
Education is also setting example. I for one will do my best, one biker as I am...
