I'm talking about the Steeles Ave. IBM area. Yah it's nice that they paved the road (about time as well damn it! Potholed up trip field).

Also what is up withthe potholes along the Steeles area? I got out of the Steeles "black out" strip as I liek to call it and as you reach Kennedy Ave. you enter another blacken area which the potholes are not easy to spot. Son..of..a... monkey's goatboy! I ended up taking I'd say about 1ft x 1-1.5ft (I'll have to check in the day time) pothole that blended in with the road at about ~22-24kph causing the whole bike to go out of whack. Yah I think the wheel took some damage. I mean if they paved the road up ahead why not just drop some filler into the gaps? I mean they don't have to press it withthe machine. Just lazy it and drop it in and let the cars flatten it for you. Argh.. and the cars will try to pin you in during the day so it's almost hard not to avoid dropping in.

Anyways, anyone know why the blackout strip is always blacked out around there? Does IBM own those lights or does the city own them? I mean BOTH SIDES ARE BLACKED OUT!!

They did repave Steeles over the 404, that was a start. I turn north on Woodbine, so I'm not sure whats going on east of there. Street lights are a municipal matter, Toronto on the south side and York region on the north side... which is part of the reason that Steeles is the mess that it is.

I'm not even sure IBM still owns that building, they moved most of their staff to the one at Warden and 407.
