Boy have they screwed up my route!

The highway dept. has routed the express way 4 lane traffic to the 2 lane road I ride to work on! It was very low trafic and now it's bumper to bumper with no shoulder! I'm SCREWED! Now I'll have to take the truck every day to avoid being splattered like a bug.

Very similar situation here. They've reduced the interstate to 2 lanes, so all the traffic has spilled over onto the side roads I normally ride. I'm still riding but all the extra traffic is irritating.

I do have to be at work at 5am so mornings are low traffic but the evening is a killer, pun intended! I can go about 3 miles out of my way so if I ride I may have no other choice! Just when I was really getting pumped about commuting this summer, Wammo! closed 4 lane!

Bumper to bumper traffic isn't so bad. We've just seen our traffic quadruple over the last couple of weeks during school holidays. Personally, I don't mind gliding past all those cagers trapped in traffic queues that stretch for 10km+. Personally, I wouldn't mind terribly if it stayed this way.
