Hey, Colorado!
In case you didn't notice it: It's COLD out there!
Ok, you probably DID notice... anyone else crazy enough to ride in it? I saw 3 sets of tire tracks on the Platte River Trail, all headed towards the Cherry Creek path.
I was going to bus it part way, but missed my bus, so I rode the whole 14 miles... my toes were cold!
Other than having to scrape the icicles off my eyelashes every mile or so, and looking like I was half snowman when I got to work, it wasn't TOO bad.

Rode home last night in the cold and snow. It was fun. Didn't ride toady but am regretting it. I am working extra tomorrow so I'm going to ride in. It will be fun to ride with no cars on the rode!
As a side note - funny to here all the coworkers complain about the two minutes they have to spend in out in the cold.

Rode home last night. Not a great commute. Had a slow leak in my rear tire, had to stop three times to pump it up (just didn't feel like patching it). Had to ditch my clear lens sunglasses because they kept getting covered in freezing drizzle. Fell once on the ice on the Cherry Creek path. Toes were cold (need some shoe covers that fit my mtb shoes). Drove today.

this is shaping up to be one of the most brutal winters in the metro area that i can remember. we still haven't seen the snow from the first blizzard melt. i rode in today. it was actually pretty fun. fresh snow on the ground gives better traction than ice patches.

It was so cold today on my commute in to the office, my rear derailuer cable snapped!
Actually, it did, but the cable is 2 1/2 years old with 6k miles on it. I just teold people at the office it was because of the cold.

Where you working Ryan? What takes you here? Aside from our miserable winter so far this year it's a great place and you'll love it here in the summer. From my readings here Colorado drivers are overall very cyclist friendly compared to other places. Enjoy your stay.
