Just wanted to celebrate...

with those who I know will appreciate it most. Today was the first real test of whether I'm going to keep up the commuting.

The weather report:
"Snow...then freezing rain...snow...rain with a chance of sleet this afternoon. Precipitation may be heavy at times. Snow and sleet accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. Windy with highs in the lower 30s. East winds 20 to 30 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph... increasing to 40 mph this afternoon. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent. "

I have to say, it was pretty fun. Been a while since I mountain biked, and feeling my wheels slipping all over the place brought back memories of lovely single track.

I've been doing this for half a year now, but this is the first time I really knew I was addicted :-P

The best part for me, besides the ride, is the coworkers calling me crazy.

In this case it was a professor. But I referenced the paper on all-cause mortality being 40% lower in bike commuters, and he seemed impressed.

Thanks! In Boston people were driving pretty well, despite it being the first snow. Comes with experience I guess.
