Sew it up and glue it to the rim, rather than a clincher (which is open and uses air pressure to force a bead seal to hold the tire to the rim.)

This frame alone was worth it man. I just LOVE IT. Also this is my first real encounter with tubulars, i wouldn't have know even if i saw them. Also the tires are so warn out that there is no text. The lbs from which i got the seat post, just looked at me when i asked him to ID the tires.

Special about curtains? On a public bus? I, personally have never seen a public bus with curtains.

VW Bus with curtains, yes, but public transportation bus? And Pink Curtains yet?

Hey man, you need to hook that bike up to the safety harness. Tubular or not, if that bus makes one quick stop, that bike would fly forward and could take out someone's eye. I saw that happen once. The bike took out a baby carriage. They have to put up a blue silhouette sticker at the exact spot every time something like that happens on a bus.

Get another tubular, stretch it out and glue it on. Then throw some of that fix-a-flat stuff in your flat kit for next time.

BTW, pro racers still use tubies cuz they're lighter than clinchers.

It's easy to tell if it's a tubular or a clincher - just roll the tyre a little on the rim. If it's a clincher, it'll look like.... a clincher. If it's tubular, you'll see the glue etc.

look at it this way: you were riding a tubular that apparently hadn't been glued in ages. you got a flat rather than rolling the tire and crashing catastrophically. that's awesome.

Our longer-distance buses here all have curtains. Not pink ones, but hey...

Not my pic, but it shows the typical bus curtain found here:

The brakes on the bike have this locking feature. i locked both brakes (its the coolest thing ive ever seen).

yeah, NOW i know.

Get another tubular, stretch it out and glue it on. Then throw some of that fix-a-flat stuff in your flat kit for next time.
I might try slime (or anything like it). if its bad, well i wont use it again. If it rocks (like i think it will) i will keep on using it. Oh and i will try that fix a flat stuff too.

Next time i visit the road bike store, ill ask about tubulars... i have read online about how to put it on, but i need the sticky tape/ glue. Also i need to clean up the rim i have now.

yeah i didn't know about the rolling thing until i read a bit more about tubulars...
