What was that rack company called?
I remember coming across a Web site selling these handmade steel front racks. They were butt ugly and resembled forklift blades (if I remember right). Anyway, it seemed like a good (only?) alternative to the Paul Flatbed and was rated at a higher weight. BTW, it mounted on front axle as well. In their "about" section, they had ancient images of newspaper couriers with enormous stacks of paper loaded on the front of the bike. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

It's probably not the site you're looking for, but old man mountain has some damn good front racks that mount on QR Axles. Their best one can hold 50 pounds, middle-of-the-line; 40 pounds.

Like that one? It's made by Azor in Holland, is rated for 50lbs. and is easily removable, which is good because it weighs a ton. Henry Work Cycles is the U.S. distributor. They'll ship you one for around $150.
One advantage to that one is it is attached to your frame and not the fork, so it stays a level non-moving platform.
