I have to second or third the fun part of passing cars. I kept up with one car in light traffic for 3 or 4 kilometers this morning. The lights were timed just right for me... not for him! Hah!

Tailwind? Tailwind. Nope, never heard of it. Sometimes, though, the headwind dies and I'm able to cruise along effortlessly through my own sudden, unaccountable superhuman strength.

What makes my commute fun is dropping all those runners and cyclers, the hamsters someone here once said, inside the 24 HourFitness club I pass by everyday. See ya suckers!

Whenever someone complains about the cost of gas, I'll put on a Johnny Carson voice and say "Ah, I did not know that."

My wife wants to have sex with me as soon as get home from my commute. It think it is caused by the manly aroma of sweat & pheromones I'm giving off and the sight of my dead sexy legs & buttocks in tight spandex.

There's power in being the crazy guy at work who rides year round. If you're nuts enough to ride in the snow and cold, who knows what you might do at work?

I can't imagine taking a job where I can't commute daily. Especially in the winter, it's a great way to know and overcome your limitations. Sort of like the dreaded Bonk. Both ugly and beautiful all in the same breath.

We all know the four types of wind - headwind, headwind, headwind, and headwind. There was a legend about tailwinds but historians think it was more likely a crosswind.

when I cycle by the freeway off ramp and see cars backed up for at least 10 light changes before they can complete their exit.

Lucky you. I always get the headwind no matter what direction i go. Think mother nature doesn't like me.

I like watching the sunrise while riding to work and the other nature things.
Blowing past traffic.
Lookng at the gas prices thinking how much i'm saving.

Guys, if you find yourself battling into a headwind then just do a u-turn!

Getting armor-plated against catching a cold or flu! What's more, you virtually get homeotherm and aren't so much affected by cold or hot weather any more.

I subscribed all that's been said above.

When your burnt out from doing to much extra cycling, but you still get on the bike, and force yourself to pedal, and then, about 2 miles in, the soreness dosn't go away, but the burnt outed ness does, and the 'runners' high sets in, thats always awsome.
