Take a chill pill if you get wound up. A deep lung full on that bridge is the cleanest the air gets in NYC. Tonic and relaxing. Until you get to work...
Wow, you are cheerful! Are you a tourist?

Cheerfulness may just be from the fact of Spring! Having MY Bridge littered with near-blind and vacuous human obstacles that are about as cute as those goats that fall asleep when you chase'em, can wish you were driving a deathrace 2000 car on that walkway at times, sure! I can be quite bitter too!

As for jeans: are you sure you want that double-stitched seam riding right up the middle there?
That's just begging for pinch flats.

I had no intention of riding the BB on a Sat, but somehow I spaced out and turned onto it on my way to the Manhattan Br as I was coming down Tillary. Did not even realize what I had done until I has halfway down the ramp. Then I was like "How bad could it be ... it is sort of cold today". Ugggg. I should have just gotten off and walked it.

Armadillo Nimbus 28's are on. They are very smooth at 100psi. Stock Kenda 23's are spares now. (110psi). These Armadillos sound like a hollow log at times.

Much heavier than stock tires, but I don't care. Bike was 22lbs stock. 24lbs with resilient tires is peace of mind. No room for fenders at all! The rack will add a 1 or 2 more lbs... My lunch, firewire drive and water bottles will add another 6lbs. Heck, you know, a pair of blue jeans weighs almost 2lbs!

I'll cruise the BB's rippled wood boardwalk much smoother now at 5mph with 28mm tires!

There's a range to proper inflation, of course. I wasn't suggesting you run them at 70, you know....

I ride 23s at 90-100psi. I've been commuting since last November, and I've only had one flat so far. I would like to try 28s at some point to see if there is much difference regarding comfort.
