Same here, I loved the Magicshine when Geoman used to sell it at around $85. Now they offer the Magicshine 900 with the German battery at a slightly higher capacity battery. They are selling it for almost $110 not including S/H. Time will tell if that price difference will be the deal breaker.

My MS on my bike since been replaced with a Gemini Titan light. I like it much better than the MS. I put my MS on my MTB backup commuter bike and it just sits in the garage these days. Time will tell how well the performance this Titan will hold up, but so far it has been very good to me.

I like to have everything important within reach without having to take my hands off of the grips. colleen, thank you for the more detailed pictures. I can make out more but still not everything. It must be my eyes. I have trouble finding my black gloves among all the other black garments we have in our foyer bench.

And thank you for the info on lights. I bought a Blackburn X4 and am not satisfied. I can't really see by it, and it cost $110 or so. What's better about the Titan than the Magicshine? The Magicshine you speak of is on special for $100 right now.

Indeed it looks like Geoman did lower their price on the MS900 with OL 4.5ahr battery. This must have happen between the time of my last post. At $100, that seem much better and more competetive.

There are several thing I like with my Titan. First off, it has a much better blink pattern that is useful. I have yet tried a new MS900 from Geoman, so I cannot say what is the blink pattern on the current Magicshine they sell. The second thing I like is the battery life. Gemini system last 4hrs with their battery pack that is rated at 5ahr. I do get very close to the 4hr mark. This is about just what I need when I run it with my MS tailight. It gets me by for a whole week without having to recharge. Lastly, I like the color of the LED of the Titan over the Magicshine. It has a more white tint and less greenish. Again, I do not know for sure how this compare to the a newer MS light as there's always a possibility that they may have improve on that, but so far I have yet to hear any difference in the LED tint. Actually, it's a Gemini Titan light.....and I absolutely love it. No issues so far and bright as hell.

The handlebars are/were made by ITM Selego, an Italian company. I got them several years ago, from Ben's Cycle. I don't think anyone is selling them now, though you might look in Europe. Koga Miyata is still selling them on their Traveller touring bike. https://www.koga.com/us/bike.asp?coll...tid=&id=413916. Nice bars with lots of hand positions and extra bar underneath for lights and such. I hope you are able to find one. I paid $169 for mine. Hope this helps.

Yeah, basically the same concept. Except, because of the different position, to release you don't have that smaller lever, you just lift the entire main lever by flicking your palm up (it would be hard on a drop bar). That and since there is more space to play with, they don't have to be so tightly packed as brifters, and that's what (my guess) makes them a lot cheaper too.

Ok...Cork grips, Nitto handle bar (priest?), Bell, Flarepoint light used as forward blinky, 200 lumen Romisen (AA battery), Catey vectra wireles speedo (basic functions), 450 lumen Romsen? (18650 battery) thumb shifter (I run a 1 x 8 setup.....the thumb shifter is so totally easy)
